Impact player substitution rule
- The announced Impact Player substitutes will get 0 points for being announced. Out of the announced substitutes, ONLY those that will play will be awarded 10 points in addition to the points for all the contributions they make as per the Fantasy Point System.
- If a player gets replaced by an Impact Player substitute, but later comes back on field, they will get points for their contributions. However, if a player, who was not a part of the announced lineups, comes to the field as a substitute, they will not get points for any of their contributions (except Impact Player substitutes).
Important Point : The contribution of the impact player is added to the user's fantasy point system only if the potential Impact player is selected during the team creation stage. If the impact player is not selected during the team creation stage, then the points are not automatically added. This is similar to what we have in football where we give additional points to substitutes only if the player comes on the field and is part of the playing 11 of the user's team which is created during the team creation step. If the substitute is not part of the playing 11 during the team creation step, then his/her Impact Player points do not get added to the total.
Sample calculation example of Impact Player:
Let's say there are two users, user 1 who does not select a substitute player and user 2 who selects 1 substitute player in their team.
User 1 team: Selects all 11 Players who are all in the announced lineups . In this team which is composed of the announced players, he has Hardik Pandya as one of the players.
User 2 team : Selects 10 players who are in the announced lineups and 1 player from substitutes. He selects Axar patel as the potential substitute.
Impact Player Situation : In the 12th over, the captain decided to replace Hardik Pandya with Axar Patel. Hardik Pandya till the 12th over contributed 100 points as per the fantasy points system.
Axar patel then comes on the field and gets 50 points as per his performance.
Points Calculation for these users :
- User 1 will get the points for the performance of all the 11 players he had in the announced lineups including Hardik Pandya's 100 points. This user will not get Axar patel's points as he was not part of the team.
- User 2 will get the points for the performance of all the 10 players he had in the announced lineups + 50 points for Axar patel's performance as per fantasy point system.
- A player who has been transferred from one team to the other might still be available for selection for his older team until the next scheduled team update on Gamezy. However, no points will be attributed to the player in such a situation.
- No points will be awarded for any actions during a Super Over or a Super Five.
- Data is provided by reliable sources and once the match has been marked as completed i.e., winners have been declared, no further adjustments will be made. Points awarded live in-game are subject to change as long as the match status is 'Live” or ‘In review'.
