St Lucia Zouks (SLZ) in CPL
The St Lucia Zouks (formerly known as St Lucia Stars) is a team that represents the island country of Saint Lucia in the Caribbean Premier League (CPL). Led by Darren Sammy, the team has been a part of the tournament right from the inaugural season of 2013 in which they won just 4 matches out of the 10 in the league stage, finishing last. It would not be unfair to say that it has been the most underperforming franchise over the course of 7 seasons. Their best season came in 2016 when the team finished 3rd in the table. The franchise of St Lucia Stars was axed in August 2019 but came back as St. Lucia Zouks a month later to remain a part of the CPL.

The squad of St Lucia Zouks in CPL 2020 looks quite good this season with the likes of Andre Fletcher, Mohammad Nabi, Kesrick Williams, and Rakheem Cornwall. It was recently revealed that the South African players would not be available due to the national lockdown announced in their country due to the Coronavirus pandemic. As a result, St Lucia Zouks would be without the likes of Riley Rossouw and Anrich Nortje. The franchise will be playing their first match against Jamaica Tallawahs on August 19.
