The team has been in the final five times but is yet to win a title, which makes them one of the unluckiest franchises in the world of T20 cricket. The team has been part of the tournament right from its inception in 2013 and has seen a plethora of top-flight players like Lasith Malinga, Mohammad Hafeez, Martin Guptill, Sunil Narine and many more representing them.

However, the team looks slightly depleted this year, at least on paper, especially with the unavailability of the Pakistani duo of Shoaib Malik and Shadab Khan. Nonetheless, the team does have a good pool of local talent with several players proving their mettle in the international circuits as well.
